Employers with five or more employees are required under California law to complete sexual harassment training for their employees before January 1, 2021.  Supervisors must complete two hours, and non-supervisory employees one hour, of training by the end of the year.

Keep in mind that California also requires employers with five or more employees to have all new employees complete harassment prevention training within six months of their date of hire, and that employees must be retrained once every two years.

With many businesses working remotely and the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19, it can be easy to let something like this slip through the cracks.  If you have not already done so, we urge you to please remember to complete this important requirement before the January 1, 2021 deadline.
