The California Labor Commissioner has released the new stand-alone written Workplace – Know Your Rights Act notice that employers are required to provide all employees via regular communication methods. The notice template can be found at the following link in English: SB294 Know Your Rights Notice and at the following link in Spanish: Aviso sobre sus derechos conforme a la SB294. This must be provided by February 1, 2026.
Also, by March 30, 2026, employers must allow employees to designate an emergency contact or collect this information from new hires going forward.
